Should said interested parties just call up pro-karts then, and tell them that I want to purchase a league entry for MAC on day in question, or is there some organizational stuff needed to be done first?

I also second the "do it after Thanksgiving" week option.

        Excellent question!

No need to call ProKart. Just show up to the first day of league a bit early. (And keep watching this thread, I'll post a reminder when we get close.)

You can pay for each event separately, or pay for the whole season at once. I recommend paying for the whole season at once -- ProKart gives a hefty discount... at least one free event.

Is Sunday morning a sacred time for weekend preference folks?

We started doing Sunday on the premise that people leave town on weekends, and it may be more likely that they're more likely to miss a Saturday event than a Sunday event, though at the time we we running Sunday afternoons. I don't think that premise was well-founded; people tend to miss Sunday if they're out of town over the weekend, and we are running Sunday mornings which are less likely to provide a window to make it than Sunday afternoon.

I know we have a few football fans in the club, (Skol Vikings!) and Sundays tend to conflict, at least a little bit, for many games on Sunday. Many people who do not care about football like to drink on Saturday nights, and karting with a hangover kinda sucks. I like both of those things!

So I ask, what do people think of moving to Saturday mornings?

I tend to go out with friends or have other plans on Saturdays, so I really like the idea of Sunday mornings. That's just my two cents. I can always make whatever works, but I'd prefer to keep it to Sundays.

I would be one that would 100% be out.(I like drinking and football (hate the vikes though)) Also they tend to do the kid karting classes Saturday mornings.

I would be open to switching the weekend league to Saturday. And I would be available to run then.

But since we already have tons of support for Sunday, I would want a large number of people to express their preference for Saturday. So let's hear it. If you would prefer Saturday, please say so!

On the one hand, I would kind of prefer Saturday for some of the reasons already mentioned.

On the other hand, I am often offered work on Saturdays, and passing on that makes driving fun even more expensive (I already had to skip a couple days with all the Saturday Mowogs this year)

On the other hand, all work and no play makes Ron a dull boy, so.....

I don't care. Saturday or Sunday is fine with me.

I'd prefer Saturdays for said reasons, but not if we lose people.

Does it make sense to split into 3 leagues? I don't think we can have 20+ karts out at once anyway. What's the minimum necessary to make Saturday it's own league separate from Sunday?

Splitting into smaller groups defeats the goal of socialization but maybe it's worth considering.

Well we normally split the run groups. I want to say we have had 14 people on track at once.

We split into multiple heats. 12 or so on track at a time.
