  • Would a '09 Porsche 911 (997.2) Carrera 2 be in CS?

This doesn't sound right but I can't find a '09 Porsche Carrera 2 being classes anywhere other than CS.

    Is this right?

I think it's meant to be grouped in with the other 997 911s in AS but they did a poor job by identifying "911 Carrera 4, 4S, & S (997 chassis)(2005-12)" which makes it seem like the base car is not included. I have to think this is a mistake though because that would also mean a 2009 Targa 4S or Carrera S Cabriolet is in CS too because of their omission and obviously that wouldn't make any sense. I think it's just another case of Porsche offering so many different trim levels and options that they are a difficult brand to class appropriately.

I'd recommend submitting a quick letter to get it clarified: https://www.crbscca.com/

Well this seems like quite the coincidence; Someone wrote in requesting a 2007 911 C2 be classed and that took care of the 2009 C2 you were asking about. All 2005-2012 C2 now explicitly classed in AS.

      #28882 2007 Porsche 997 C2
Per the SAC, please fix the following omission in Appendix A:
      911 Carrera C2, 4, 4S, & S (997 chassis) (2005-12)

        Thanks for the update!

Barb & I are looking at Porsche 997.2 ('09-'12) with a PDK transmission for her to drive. Having fun is goal #1 and 911's "speak to her". I just want something that isn't going to be in SS.

I really wonder what would be the newest 911 that is classed in CS? Probably something from the 80's and way way overpriced!
